Reasons and Operation Methods for Inaccurate Cutting in Centerless Grinding machines

The usual operating method is to go back three times when the centerless grinder is feeding, and then go back three more times to eliminate the error caused by the gap. If the feeding is still inaccurate, we need to perform other operations.
Briefly understand the operation methods for processing.
1. Check if the screw brake handwheel is securely locked. If it cannot be locked, it is possible that the two pins that support the screw brake handwheel tap have fallen off. It is necessary to inspect and reinstall the tool. If the slide plate is not inserted correctly, check if there is any workpiece on the left or right side of the tool holder that has fallen and is being held. This problem can sometimes occur and needs to be checked.
2. For the centerless grinder model, as the feed is made from the bottom right corner, it is necessary to check whether the fixing screw of the feed handwheel fine adjustment and the stop screw on the feed screw are loose or have excessive clearance. Rotate the feed handwheel back and forth for multiple turns to feel whether the clearance between the handwheels is too large or whether the feed handwheel is too tight when rotating.
3. Minor adjustment of the position deviation or looseness of the feed sleeve can cause excessive clearance between the sliding plate friction spiral gear and the adjusting screw. Tightness of the nut may cause inflexibility in rotation, and in general, loosening of the nut can also result in inaccurate cutting
4. The transmission screw in the differential disc of the handwheel fine adjustment and screw rod has fixed screws, and it should be confirmed that there is no looseness. The fine adjustment screw and screw rod have Peilin bearings, and it should be confirmed that there is no wear or excessive clearance.
For parts with slight wear, they can be tightened appropriately, while parts with severe wear need to be replaced in a timely manner. Using high-quality components can improve the accuracy of the centerless grinder's cutting and reduce the machine's maintenance rate.
